I was just wondering why the chapter one bands that are always on top 1,2,3 competitions are always on the following sunday after everyone elses competions? And I thought it might be more fair if the scores were not posted till all the competitions are completed? I have never seen these bands and I am sure they are great, but I know that our school has traveled north for all but 3 of there competions but you never see the schools from New Jersey or Maryland come to Virginia ?

I've been viewing this website for approx 15 years. I was initially told about it by another band parent when my daughter was in band, during the early 90's and then viewed it all thru my son's years. Thank you for providing a great site where up-to-band TOB marching band scores are always available.

This has been my source for scores and updates throughout the years i have been involved in competition band. It is a great site and I hope it stays for a long time. It will let me keep track of my old bands performance in competition. Thank you very much and keep up the great work!

Blue Wave, your website is the absolute all-encompassing best! I've been checking it out during marching band season ever since a fellow band parent told me about it two years ago. It's Monday morning, and I was trying to look at last weekend's scores. Went to TOB's site first, and they aren't posted yet, but I knew you'd have them. Great job! Keep up the good work. Our band participated in the competitions you hosted the past 3 years, but this year it was the same night as Pocono Mtn. Esst. so we went there. It seems like there haven't been many Group 2 bands at the local competitions this year. What's up with that?

Mr. Frush always talks about how your page is one of the most thorough band web sites he has ever seen, i check the forums every few hours to see if anything new came up, and i check afer our competitions every saturday. The site is excellent except for one thing, your not that well known i nthe tob, site wise, and so you dont have alot of people on the forum, but I love the site no matter what, just keep it updated for me, lol.. I am currently in the Caesar Rodney Marching Band and i gotta tell you guys that this site is the best one of ever found that has TOB scores on it. The TOB homepage isn't even in the same league. And another thing i dont know how you guys crank out the scores as fast as you do but your usually about a week or 2 ahead of TOB. Anyway just lettin you know that it's appreciated and keep it going.

My name is Jesse Brooks, I am currently the percussion Caption Head for Lake Forest High School. First, this is a great web site. It is very informative and detailed. I have one suggestion, since you can rank the bands, it would be great if you could rank the drumlines and color guards, or even have recaps on your page since tob does not post them. Since those scores do not count towards the band overall score, the students would appreciate something to strive for. Thank you for your time and hopefully consideration

I'm the drum major of a small group 1 band, myself, and thought that itd be kind of neat if you could rank percussion and drum majors and such, by the scores they are given. Just a thought. I have enjoyed your website for many years now. I've visited it every week during the competitive season since at least my junior year, which was 2000, (when I competed with the Lewistown band) because it is always accurately updated in a timely manner. I liked to see where we were in the grand scheme of things, even though marching band was all about fun and self-improvement for me-not the scores. Now, as an instructor/arranger with the Lewistown band, I come to see who we may be seeing at the competitions we attend and just to surf your tob section and explore. Personally, I believe this site is even better than the TOB site because of your little additions, like show themes and competition strength rankings. Today I had the honor and privilege of attending the rally for Congressman Gekas at Harrisburg International Airport. The rally was attended by President Bush, and your band did an extraordinary job! You kept the program lively, upbeat, invigorating and helped to keep a charged atmosphere. As a member of the crowd, there were lots of people around me commenting on what a great job your band did, with what I'm sure was very short notice. I just wanted to write to say Thank You for the great performance. It is a day I will remember forever, and your performance for President Bush was definately first class!!! Keep up the great job!

At this time of year bands become very concerned with whether or not they are going to make ACCs. It would be pretty cool if you made a top 25 ranking list but include the top bands from each chapter like TOB does for placement into ACCs. In other words, if a band is ranked 25th on the normal rankings, they would be like 28th because chapter winners (highest score in chapter to date) would be ahead of them for a place at ACCs.

I like all of the correlations you have made on this webpage. I think it is the most interesting site as far as competitive marching that I have encountered.

A friend just told me about your site it's great. Love the instant e-mail updates keep up the good work. I haven't seen your band yet but it looks like you guy's have fun good luck. Were a group 1 band with a new director and were doing geat GO CHESAPEAKE.

I have a suggestion for the site. To my knowledge, the official TOB site does not include band membership per chapter. Maybe on this site next season, you could include chapter information, such as number of bands per chapter, names of bands, and what area each chapter encompasses. Just a suggestion. Thank you.

Very nice site! With so many TOB sites really lacking quality, yours has inspired us and is one of the best sites! Look for us at the A.C.C.'s in Scranton, we'll be in the Box again with our banner hanging over the side...come up and meet us, get out of the cold and have a something to eat or drink. I'm a long-time visitor, first-time writer, as it were, and I just wanted to thank you for creating and maintaining this site. I'm a past member of the Cedar Cliff Marching Band (Class of 99), and college has taken me out of state and, hence, unfortunately unable to attend any TOB shows (1 a year, if I'm very lucky). However, for the past several seasons, your site has allowed me to keep track of all the current goings-on in TOB competition. Thanks again for all the hard work and effort you put into this site--it's greatly appreciated by many of us out here.

A GREAT FRIEND and former member of Middletown Area High School Band, Seth Groover passed away this past Thursday (September 6, 2001) in a fatal car accident. He was a part of the blue wave band through his Freshman/Sophomore year of High School (1997 and 1998) He then moved to Central Dauphin East High school for his Junior year and once again moved to Virginia where he currently lived until his fatal accident. Seth was a true Blue Wave Member! Even after leaving the district he continued to cheer the Blue Wave on at football games as well as all the Band Competitions. I would just ask that everyone who reads this please keep Seth in their prayers as I will. Seth was truly a person that everyone could get along with. He was loved by so many. Unfortunately his life was cut drastically short. God rest his soul.

I want to thank you for this great website! Since my son graduated, it helps me stay up to date with the band's events. I noticed there are quite a few items that haven't been updated. I just wanted to drop a line and say that my cousin, kelly heitefuss, showed me a video from one of your competitions last season and I think you guys rock. The marching band I am in wasnt even half as good as yours. Keep up the good work and good luck this season!

Band was hard when I first started, but now that I am in the swing of things I asolutly LOVE IT!! (As cheesey as that may sound!!) I would like to put an idea out in the air. Although our show (baseball, a day in the park) was neat and alot of other bands enjoyed it, I think it would be benificial to our scores if we had some back drops like the band did in the '98 season. I feel that the back drops add a touch of creativity and make the show more exciting. This year with the theme 'Gershwin', I think that it will be better to adde some extra visuals to the show. Please concider. I am (and I'm sure others are too!)willing to help with the art work.
